"Is your husband here with you?" or "sorry, but you look too young to be the CEO"
Funny how people make assumptions...went to a meeting with a male colleague (a few years ago) who happened to report to me. The person we were meeting directed 90% of conversation to him, assuming he was the decision maker....needless to say, not impressed. Recently my husband and I went to see a lawyer on a deal, same thing, 95% of conversation directed at him...< 5% to me and we are equal partners. In business gender inequality is due to bias, not differences in behavior. And my point is not to cater to the boss (male or female) but to treat humans equally.
